PSYCHOLOGY, RELIGION & HEALING by Leslie D. Weatherhead
A Survey of the Methods of Healing Through
Psychology and Religion
Weatherhead had a close connection to the Oxford Group and his book
Discipleship contains a virtual manual on the Oxford Group
principles that found their way into A.A.
In Boston, about 1905, The Emmanuel Movement arose which recognized
the value of body, mind and spirit in the treatment and healing of
illnesses, including alcoholism. An early book describing the Emmanuel
Movement was Religion and Medicine. Weatherhead's book
Psychology, Religion and Healing is an extension of that
work and examines the methods of healing through mind and spirit.
Abingdon Press, copyright 1952-revised, 541 pages,

RELIGION and HEALING. A critical study of all the non-physical methods of
