Charlie SheenCharlie
Sheen insists he will never use support group Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
t
o help him beat booze as he has nothing but contempt for the
"ridiculous" system.
The troubled actor was hospitalized in Los
Angeles and treated for a hernia in January after
a wild night of
partying, before checking into a rehab-at-home program to help kick his
addictions.
Sheen has hit headlines over the last few
weeks after launching a Twitter account and signing up
for numerous
interviews to talk about his tumultuous personal life, often boasting
about his drug use and his love of partying.
But he is adamant he does not have a problem
with booze and has given up drinking of his own
accord, without the help
of rehab workers or support groups such as the AA.
During an interview with Britain's The Sun,
Sheen is pictured tearing pages out of the AA handbook
nd then used it
to light the fire in his living room, declaring, "I'm finally finding
the right use for Alcoholics Anonymous."
He adds, "(It's) ridiculous. Do you say, 'My
sponsor said he's a loser so I want to be one too.'
Or do you say, 'No I must stay like this and continue to suck at life'?
Alcoholics Anonymous? It's about as anonymous as me. It's the holy book
of lies
