Bill W., My First 40 Years, an Autobiography by the Cofounder of Alcoholics Anonymous
By Bill Pittman Hazeldens own archivist and author of many history recovery AA related books. He wrote AA the Way it Began. He has long been know for his vast knowledge of the history of AA and once worked in AA's GSO Archives. This books deals with Bill Wilson's early live prior to his visit by Ebby T. Includes where Bill was born and raised and and much other material. The book is primarily from a transcript of a recorded interview given by Bill Wilson to Ed Bierstadt in Sept 1954 at the Hotel Bedford. Bill gives a brief synopsis of the need and reason for this recorded interview followed by the actual interview. This interview as never widely distributed. The book was printed and debuted at the AA 2000 Internation Convention in Minneapolis MN.
