In this book the author discloses the secret of Frank Buchman's life work in the Oxford Group, later  renamed Moral Re-Armament. It details how Buchman set out to change men and includes Buchman's own development. Buchman was the founder of The Oxford Group. Peter Howard met Buchman in 1940 and worked closely with him until his death in 1961. Howard wrote many accounts of Buchman  and the Oxford Group/MRA movement.

The Oxford Group is where Bill W. first found sobriety prior to meeting Dr. Bob in 1935 and the eventual founding of AA. Both Dr. Bob and Bill, as well as many early AA members attended Oxford
Group meetings in the early days
