Very Very interesting book about a former trial lawyer and then Judge who began to understand that his alcoholism was leading him to self destruction. It was at this point he went to his first meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous and began the struggle of self discover and sobriety

at 50 he had alcoholic convulsion and almost died

He does maintain his anonymity in the book but we know he was a judge up in the Northeast USA

This book is filled with real insight into AA and has a lot of details of what he learned in the many many meetings he attended

It is my understanding from my first browse through the book that the book was written when he had 20 years sober 1979
meaning he got sober in 1959

I wonder if he is still alive I would like to talk to him and meet him!!

I understand this book is fairly hard to find
