My favorite aa historian in Oklahoma city

L.D. -

It was written by Ray Harrison who in 1941 became the first person to get sober in the state of Iowa. He was a judge. He self-published the book and there was only one printing. It's not a real rare book and, like all AA things, eBay has caused the value to drop significantly. I bought a copy about 15 years ago and paid $XX.00 for it. When one appears on eBay these days, it usually sells for about $X0.00-$X0.00. There are lots of signed copies floating around because he apparently gave a copy to everyone he met and always inscribed them. He gave Clancy Imuslund a copy many years ago and inscribed it To Clancy from Clancy. It is a hardcover and is red in color. There is a caricature of a drunk holding on to a light post in the lower right corner of the front cover.

Hope this helps, Bill

The book is bound in red leather. Has a picture of a drink wrapped around a light pole on the front. It may or may not be inscribed by Clancy or Ray Harrison.
